How to Get the P1 Characters You Want

Mametchi
To get Mametchi, perfect care is required at all times. No messing up. Period. That is probably why I cannot get one; I always forget something. Don't let the hearts drop lower than 1 empty on both hunger and happiness. Fill up those hearts as soon as you find they're empty. Always discipline when needed. Be diligent about cleaning up after it. Turn off the lights at bedtime. Basically, give it all your attention and never turn the sound off.

Ginjirotchi
Ginjirotchi is honestly harder to get than Mametchi, only because although you must take near perfect care of it, you have to neglect it to some degree. To get this cute little guy, take good care of it as a Marutchi. In its teen years, treat it almost perfectly. You can let the hearts drop once or twice to maybe two empty, and only discipline 50%. Other than that, take perfect care, and Ginjirotchi is yours.

Masktchi
Personally, I don't recommend trying to get a Masktchi because of how late it stays up, but if that's what suits your fancy, then here's how you do it. Only discipline 50%, and let the hearts drop constantly. You can even have them empty if you like. For me, the way you get this character is a cinch. And the lucky people who end up with Masktchi can help turn it into Bill, the secret character.

Kuchipatchi
*Sigh* Yes, Kuchipatchi IS cute, but it is considered an unhealthy character on the Tamagotchi. When it is a Marutchi, the only thing you have to worry about is discipline. Otherwise, neglect it as you like. In the teen years, however, take perfect care. Kuchipatchi is also fairly easy to get, and that is why he is considered the "average" character. Personally, I consider Masktchi to be "average" and Kuchipatchi to be "mediocre".

Nyorotchi
Ugh. I got this character all the time on my mom's P1 way back when. I hated it. I thought it was ugly. But now when I look at it, it's actually kind of cool-looking. Basically, you have to do the same thing you do to get a Ginjirotchi, but neglect it in the toddler years so that you get the bad teenager. After that, treat it perfectly and discipline to 50%. Good luck with that.

Tarakotchi
This is probably the easiest character to get. It doesn't really require any care at all. Little food, little snacks, no games, no cleanup, no lights-out. Only thing: if it gets sick, medicate it. That's the only good thing you should do. Otherwise, neglect, neglect, neglect.

I do not know how to get the secret character yet. I'll have to figure it out myself.
